Big day

Yesterday was officially my last day in my day job, so today I celebrated by publishing Call Security! up to Wargame Vault.  As I am a new publisher it might take a few days to clear, but it is done.  Life in early retirement will take a little getting used to, but thanks to my return to the hobby I feel like it’s going to be fine.  Certainly have plenty of projects in mind to keep me busy.  That said, here’s some progress updates:

1. Space Station build

I felt like the board needed walls to define the layout properly and be clear about line of sight.  It also needs to be really flexible, so they need to be thick enough to be free-standing.  Continuing my work with recycling packing materials, I rigged up a jig for my hot wire cutter and hey presto.

The old Space Hulk doors are in slots so I can pull them out when the door is open. I’m planning to leave the backs of rooms open for easier access.  Here’s a full layout for the VIP quarters.

Next up will be to populate all 10 boards to ensure I have the total mix of pieces I need.  In parallel I will keep working on scatter, like these market stalls from Headbunny Games. I am also still populating Adversaries, with improvised weapons folks on the workbench as I type.

2. Post Apocalypse

The second game is making good progress.  Wargame Vault want to see two games before they let a new publisher loose on their system as ‘verified’, so I’m pushing on with that and continuing to build up minis and terrain for that too, like the mutant plant life at the top of the page from Forged Terrain.

3. Painting for other people

Here’s the latest and a reminder I am still very much interested in helping people work through their pile of shame.  If you are in the UK you only need to pay to ship them to me, the rest is on me.

4. Guards of Traitor’s Toll

I missed playing the second mission game in July as I was playtesting the next expansion, so I will get back to that soon.

5. There’s now the dilemma of whether to start working on Wild West or Pirate figures next.

See, no trouble keeping busy!
