Four projects

I think I have finally settled on a plan for the next six months. I know myself well enough to know that if I try to concentrate on just one project I’ll soon run out of steam, so I’m going to try and progress four in parallel.

The big one is of course my 10mm project and the new book - The enemy are coming! - which I’m billing as “A Fantasy Tabletop Miniatures Campaign and Big Battles System for Solo Players”. The figures seem to be coming along okay, so I’m enjoying it, but I can already tell I will need a break from 10mm now and then.

Next up is the Space Station tiles and scatter I started last year but stalled in the rush to get other stuff done for the explanatory photos in the various rulebooks.

That’s a terrain only project, but as luck would have it I got a load of Foundry Wild West figures for Christmas, so I’ve been working on them in parallel with the 10s. The first batch are now done, 16 Plains Young Bloods. The lack of warpaint is on purpose as in Join the Posse they are really just causing mischief rather than actually going to war.

I have a load of mounted to go with these though and may change my mind for those.

The fourth project hasn’t started yet and will be for my new Adventure rules - The Wardens of History. This is a great excuse to paint up small batches of figures from as many different periods as I want.  First up with be the Warden and his team for which I’m having fun with the Crooked Dice figures.

Meanwhile I have the Protect the Kingdom campaign (game 4 tomorrow) to play through interspersed with games of Pirate and Fantasy Adventures, so plenty to keep me busy.
