Dungeon tiles

 

Yep, you guessed it, there’s a new project underway! On the Horrendous Gaming release schedule for February 2027 is a Dungeon adventure, and the dungeon will be built as you go from a set selection of tiles, so I’m building a set myself for the playtesting. 

I don’t have a 3D printer, and while I made some simple tiles once before using oven dry clay, this time I wanted to dry air drying clay. 

First go I went too thin and once I’d added the texture from a roller and scored the squares, it broke.  So then using the wooden pieces to set a uniform 7mm height, I think these will work.

Need to make doorways too hence the small pieces and arches. But these left to dry for a few days plus a quick coat of Speedpaint gives pieces like the one at the top, which I’m happy enough with to persevere. 

Of course that’s not all I’ve been up to. I am happy to report that I’ve now completed the cavalry unit and added both a third Zombie unit and a second Huscarl unit:

So the Undead force is now complete:

That’s 1053 figures done! Though I also have 236 yet to do:
