A strange mix
I feel like I am all over the place at the minute. I have taken some more time off to work on some specific things and get them tested on the table but I can’t quite decide what to do first, so for the weekend I have been painting whatever was still hanging around.
This starts with some more wild west figures as part of my offer to paint things for other people. They like to do their own basing so these are just painted, varnished, and sent on their way. I am really enjoying this for the novelty, as I had no plans to do wild west figures for myself.
Then it was back to post apocalyptic stuff, hence the giant scorpion above, which is the one from the North Star Silver Bayonet range.
I also finished this terrain piece for a easily placed bit of hard cover to be fought over. The walls are pre-printed cardboard stuck on to foam board. It was relatively quick and easy but I do still have some plans for some scratch built stuff later.
Also on the same theme are these Wargames Atlantic Harvesters from the Death Fields range. My poor head couldn’t cope with them being designed with only four legs, but with plenty of additional legs on the sprues this was easily remedied, including some that were supposed to be alien weapons, giving a nice variation in looks.
Then off on another theme, I painted up all the wolves a while ago, but have now turned to the Goblins from the Oathmark Goblin Wolf Riders set. These are for EKPS and are a Captain, Herald, Fighter, and Scout. The wolves are the metal ones recently released. I have a unit of spears and a unit of archers on the go to go on the plastic ones.
More terrain is also in progress and I got the two sets of plastic Stargrave Scavengers recently so have started planning what I will do with them. Hopefully though I’ll get some games on the table for the rest of the week.
